After this trip, things get weird. Lucy and Spencer don’t appear to act as themselves — but rather possessed. Ben initially can’t determine whether it’s all in his head or not. Eventually, things begin to escalate and doesn’t end well for the adults.

Review

This movie feels a bit drawn out and quite a slow burner. More of the fault of the script rather than the actors. From the moment of the incident in the woods to the beginning of the action, there were some unnecessary dialogue between the parents — more filler rather than pushing the story along. The cinematography was not good for this film. It did not capture any tension, even during the latter parts of the movie when the action escalated. The children were the saving grace of the film in Fringe Fiction’s opinion. They actually seemed more knowledgeable of their parts than the adults, and they were aptly subtle and creepy with their smiles.

Verdict (Out of 10)

A 6 out of 10. Some good elements in the movie could not overcome the terrible elements of the film.
