COVID 2024: Five Day Quarantine May Be Lifted. Is It Business as Usual? Or Politics?

With the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) potentially lifting the five-day quarantine requirement, this should celebratory for most Americans. The CDC appears to be lifting home quarantine but not for nursing homes. Fringe Fiction thinks this may be a mix of business and politics involved in this decisiom with the CDC. Also, there may be preparation as COVID-19 may be the stage for “Disease X.” But as of January 24, 2024, Fringe Fiction received a most alarming text message from the CDC that v-Safe has been reinstated. Is this government doublespeak in the modern era? Perhaps there is more to this.

Admittedly, the politicians and federal government health officials have been less than honest with the public. Dr. Anthony Fauci acknowledged that the public health agencies weren’t running well during the pandemic and that social distancing was a fraud at best and a worst practice at worst. These policies ran some businesses into the ground and some are near bankruptcy in 2024. Some Wawas closed in the Philadelphia area partially from lack of business during the pandemic (and after) and partially from the rise of crime and retail theft. They could not escape the effects of closures during the pandemic.

Businesses (and politics intertwined) may have an effect on lifting of the quarantine regulations as well. With businesses pushing for removal of remote work and return to the office, the timing of the quarantine lift regarding COVID would be immediately beneficial. No longer would sick employees have to quarantine themselves for five days or more. The installation of hand sanitizers and deployment of disposable masks at offices already give the appearance of health and wellness after the COVID-19 pandemic. As for politics, it may be potentially beneficial during election year, and the lift may be justifiably long enough until the election is over and the suggested Disease X causes lockdowns sometime down the road. It may not be collusion between businesses, politics and health policies, but the timing of the announcement (or hints of it) of all three does lend some hints of suspicion.

What do you think of the potential lifting of quarantine for COVID? Do you think it is beneficial or harmful? Do you think the timing of the lift (or even suggestions of it) lend to some suspicion?
