Abbi Snee plays Abbi and starred in The Blacklist (2016) and Gotham (2015) television series. Emanuela Galliussi plays Manu and starred in Fourplay (2016). Theodora Miranne plays Tara Rogers and recently starred in Gemini Man (2019).

Plot

Two internet gurus and their team find a haunting video posted on their website. They first treat it as a joke and then they seek the truth behind it. They bring the team along to Rochester, New York, and they encounter something unexpected. Things don’t fare so well for the team as they attempt to dig deeper. 

Review

Overall, this movie was underwhelming and relied far too much on jump scares. There wasn’t much of a plot, and when there was an attempt to explore the story, it ended quickly. This movie was overall very lackluster. It had some moments of potential, but it disappeared quickly. Some of the movie’s mediocrity was mired in the lengthy, ham-fisted discussion in the beginning about privacy and internet.

Verdict (Out of 10)

Fringe Fiction gives this movie a 4.3. This movie had potential but dragged in parts where it didn’t need to be and heavily relied on jump scares, particularly toward the end. The protagonists had ambition. This movie did not.
