Plot

Amara Creed is born deaf and her mother, Bianca Creed, has completely lost her hearing. In Los Angeles, 2033, Adonis Creed is training Amara Creed the ins and outs of boxing. While her parents are away, Amara Creed sneaks into an underground boxing matches in Amherst where she fully intends on boxing. She handedly defeats her first opponent until she confronts the Jamie “Slayer” Pierce. When Adonis intervenes and stops the match, Amara decides to go out on her and train under another member of the family, Artemis Creed.

Review

Solid art direction and quite realistic and down-to-earth portrayal of boxing and boxing culture. Although there is a lot of family drama in this comic, there is just enough action to keep the comic moving forward.

Verdict (Out of 10)

A solid 8 out of 10. If you want to learn some aspects of boxing training in the gym, the first few pages give a brief look. The cliffhanger at the end is solid.
