Fringe Fiction Goes to Fan Expo Philadelphia: May 4, 2024

Today was Star Wars Day, and with that, came a lot of Star Wars cosplay and interviews. But first things first, Fringe Fiction visited the Japanese arcade imported from Detroit. Some interesting cabinets and gameplay for certain. Fringe Fiction tried their hands on Tekken Tag Tournament and did reasonably well against the computer using Heihachi Mishima and Jin Kazama.

Three of the distinct cabinets found at the Japanese Arcade:

Later, Fringe Fiction visited a special paid event, Maid Cafe, on the ground floor. Some treats, some tea and some games were in store. An entertaining event for certain and certainly Japanese.

Afterwards, Fringe Fiction attended both the Fairly Oddparents panel with Butch Hartman, Grey Delisle and Dee Bradley Baker. An entertaining panel but came in one-by-one…

There’s three

A tough act to follow but Fringe Fiction attended the interview session with Emily Swallow. She was quite interesting in diving into some aspects of filming Star Wars.

As for the cosplay, most of it came at the end of the day. Cosplay ranged from Aliens v Predator to Superman and Batman. Quite a few photos captured.

A fun but definitely long day. Tomorrow is the interview with Felicia Day, and we are looking forward to that.
