Plot
Brenda and Paul are preaching the will of Glokor, despite the resistance in Norfolk, Nebraska. However, things go unexpectedly bad as they travel in their truck. Two armored soldiers eradicate a Mechawomb. In their wake, Brenda and Paul find a baby, much like Clark Kent/Superman. However, this is not that world. Fifty years later, Hork the Penniless executes a priest who goes against the will of Glokor. He entertains himself at Old Nan’s Funhouse with some adult entertainment until Sam and his accomplice attempt to steal a duffel from Hork. Things escalate quickly and don’t end well.
Review
Heavy on the violence, nudity, blood and action, this comic is riding close to a mature rating. The plot, however, is not exactly clear. Whether Hork or someone else was the baby in the beginning, that is hard to determine. So far, as Fringe Fiction knows, Old Nan is a dangerous man in this world.
Verdict (Out of 10)
Fringe Fiction gives this comic a 6.3 out of 10. For the first issue, it is kind of confusing and ambiguous. Hopefully, later issues will flesh out the world and the people involved a bit better.
