Plot

The Askura Clan sets sail to assault the stronghold of the evil emperor, Shuten Doji. Sonja and her uncle, General Ryu, talk about some family matters, but things go south quite quickly. As Sonja is near death, she encounters the Goddess Amaterasu-Omikami and is saved. Afterwards, Samurai Sonja encounters a mystical monster and defeats it handedly.

Review

So far, the stage has been set for Samurai Sonja’s adventures although the story has been filled with tropes. Hopefully, the story breaks away from some of the tropes in the later issues.

Verdict (Out of 10)

Fringe Fiction gives this comic a 6.7 out of 10. Decent enough introduction.
