Eat the Rich No. 3 (of 5) Comic Book Review [SPOILERS]

Plot

Joey Dorsey and Kitty have a conversation about what she saw, the implementation of the contracts, and a lengthy discussion about tradition and how tradition binds the community together. Joey has a better understanding of the community, but she still isn’t a part of the community. Joey and Astor share of family lunch of one of the previous servants, and she acquires the taste almost immediately. Five weeks later, Astor and Joey are set to be married, and Kitty lets a stern warning if Joey oversteps the line again.

Review

Some exposition leads to mostly more drama. The middle part of the story where Joey is introduced to cooked human flesh and actually enjoys it is surprising to her and the audience. Interestingly enough, the story doesn’t actually focus on the family as much as its traditions.

Verdict (Out of 10)

Fringe Fiction gives this comic a 7.2 out of 10. Lots of exposition, a mild surprise and some hints of drama but not much else.
