Alice Ever After No. 1 (of 5) Comic Book Review [SPOILERS]

Plot

Alice has grown up, but her father has cut off her off from some much-needed medications including opium, heroin and laudarum. Morton, the resident custodian of a Sanitorium outside of town, is contentious with Alice and her family. Later, Alice discusses her affairs with Lorina and Edith and her encounter with Morton and Earl, the town chamberlain. For escapism, Alice needs her drugs from Morton and goes to him late at night for her fix. However, things go badly for Morton, and Alice finally retreats to Sacred Heart Hospital.

Review

An interesting take on Alice in Wonderland. The real world is indeed difficult for Alice when Wonderland offers much entertainment and escape. The comic book also includes a preview of Grim.

Verdict (Out of 10)

Fringe Fiction gives this comic a 7.1 out of 10. Interesting take on Alice, and curious to see where the rabbit hole leads.
