Plot

Marcus has moved from Bludhaven to ultimately reside in Gotham City. He has a fear of water and swimming and bullied and tormented by three youths. He meets Mr. Zhu, the janitor at Gotham City High School. Unbeknownst to Marcus, his parents are working for an unsavory villain in Gotham. An ancient golden demon is released through their experiment. Meanwhile, finally letting his fear of water go, Marcus transforms into the Monkey Prince and is accompanied by Sifu Piggy, the former Mr. Zhu.

Review

A solid origin story for the first issue. The art matches mostly this new character in the DC Universe, and the story is relatively concise.
