At this point of post-pandemic, inflation still remains high. The cost of fuel, energy and groceries all remain high. Inflation was supposedly temporary, but some outside forces escalated the price of goods. Unbound immigration with its unbridled costs, unchecked distribution of military resources via proxy, and other things as well contributed to rising costs all around.
The cost of eggs have certainly increased and maintained at $6 per carton, despite a few dips here and there. The cost of eggs is a baseline for the American family as it was a $1 per carton of dozen eggs not prior to the pandemic. Multiple cases of avian flu through the years also rose the price of eggs — and these cases demonstrate how vulnerable the United States food supply chain is, despite the government guardrails however minimal.
Fringe Fiction predicts that COVID or something similar will make its return by mid-year of 2025. It will be regional this time around — resembling more like the first wave of the Spanish Flu rather than shutting down entire countries like COVID-19 did. Again, this is a prediction and a guess, but things are bound to make a return sometime.
