
Plot
Detective Susan Murphy and Harold Myers, a university professor, are investigating a death at Gemini Hotel in Chicago, Illinois. They meet up with Walter Lewis, the owner of the hotel, and Trevor, head of maintenance, and find something afoot in the hotel room of the deceased Deborah Newton. As Harold Myers and Susan Murphy continue their investigation of the Gemini Hotel, they find the hotel lined with multiple traps similar to ones built by H. H. Holmes. Harold Myers continues to describe the life of H. H. Holmes and how he accrued his wealth through scheming and illegal means. Eventually, Harold Myers and Susan Murphy reach the end of the line and captured by the murderer. However, things aren’t as they seem.
Review
An entertaining read with enough twists and turns and some educational elements delving into the life of H. H. Holmes and the man he was. The story concludes nicely and with a sufficient bow.
Verdict (Out of 10)
Fringe Fiction gives this a comic a 7.5 out of 10. Entertaining, educational and very solid read.
