With the heralding of the new Ninja Gaiden 4 coming in fall of 2025, here’s Fringe Fiction’s top 10 tricks for Ninja Gaiden Black and Ninja Gaiden Black II.

First, maximize full use of your weapons and upgrade your weapons when you can. You have more than the Dragon Sword available to you. The staff is a good room-clearer. The sword in Fringe Fiction’s opinion may be sometimes better for bosses.

Second, the flying swallow move is your friend. Using the Y button after jumping is exceedingly deadly. It doesn’t quite work on most bosses, but it can be used as an evasive move too, particularly against bosses.

Third, block and evade. Sometimes evading is the better part of valour, particularly when surrounded by enemies.

Fourth, ninpo is a good room clearer. Once obtained, ninpo can be good for room-clearing and of course, bosses.

Fifth, don’t give up. Some bosses and levels can be exceedingly frustrating.
