Day One at the Fan Expo 2025 was an eventful one to say the least. This day’s crowd seems to be significantly bigger than last year’s on day one.

The day started out quite rainy but the sun finally came out.

And onto the Philadelphia Convention Center where the event is being held.

Fringe Fiction went first to the panel of voice actors in games including Nadji Jeter, Nick Apostoides, and Tara Pratt. Nick Apostoides is apparently an avid video game player as well with games including Fortnite and his addiction to metrovania-type games. Nadji Jeter not so much.

We did get some comics from Zenescope Entertainment booth there with autographs from Noah Mitchell and Pat Shand. We will review those comics and post photographs at a later date. Here is one below:

Some cosplayers were around including a pink animatronic R2-D2.

Cosplayers big days are this weekend if it is anything like previous years.

John Rhys-Davies was and still is quite an extraordinary actor. He gave some great advice infused with humor. You can catch his monologue on life and jobs on our Youtube page @Fringefictionmagazine. We will post on other sites at a later time.

Lastly, our night ended with Jodie Whitaker of Doctor Who fame. She apparently is a fan of pork roast in North England. Well, Philadelphia does indeed have John’s Pork Roast in South Philadelphia if she is ever interested.
