Fringe Fiction Goes to the Movies: Memorial Day 2025 Edition #fringefiction #frifi #movies #memorialday

With this Memorial Day in tow, Fringe Fiction honors all soldiers and veterans of all U.S. military branches. They each have done their duty and should be properly honored. With the disparity of television that honored soldiers this Memorial Day, we did watch some other movies including Beyond Skyline and The Fix.

Beyond Skyline is a discordant science-fiction movie. Although it is packed with talent, the story in of itself was everywhere and continuously changed direction. Frank Grillo basically carried the movie in the same vein of The Purge: Anarchy with a similar role.

The Fix had some good ideas, but midway through, the science-fiction amplifies but doesn’t quite live up to expectation. Perhaps with a bigger budget and slightly better cast, it would rise above. It’s watchable but a bit dry.

Did you watch any movies this weekend? If so, did you enjoy them? What movies are you most looking forward to?
