With the Paris Olympics debacles and the ever-intriguing Donald Trump and Kamala Harris camps fighting amongst each other, Fringe Fiction avoids some of the fervor and watches a couple of movies of note.

Most notably is Boy Kills World. Very well-choreographed and fun movie. It has some elements of Scott Pilgrim vs. The World intertwined with The Hunger Games. Some off-beat humor is included. This movie is highly recommended.

The other is Jolt. Kind of anticipating Crank but with a female lead, but it turned out to be kind of tepid overall.
