Fringe Fiction Goes to the Movies #fringefiction #frifi #movies #moviereviews #nobody #nobody2 #locked #facingsuicide #socialmedia

On this cold and windy weekend in Philadelphia, Fringe Fiction did watch three movies: Nobody 2, Locked, and Facing Suicide. They are all worth a watch, but Nobody 2 may be worth a second.

Nobody 2 may be arguably better than Nobody. In this movie, Bob Odenkirk return as Hutch Mansell when he brings his entire family on the way to Plummerville. However, the town of Plummerville houses a criminal organization which Hutch intentionally antagonizes. This movie increases the campiness and violence of the original. The finale is fun and entertaining to watch. Overall, Fringe Fiction recommends watching this movie. It’s a great summer popcorn movie that’s worth a watch or two.

Locked is a film with a small cast mainly composed of Anthony Hopkins and Bill Skarsgard. The message of this movie is good. However, the movie was a bit plodding throughout most of it — and some of it didn’t make much sense. Towards the end, Anthony Hopkins as William does something that that defies logic in Fringe Fiction’s opinion, but maybe it was perhaps to draw the film to satisfying conclusion. Overall, it’s worth a watch on the acting chops of both Anthony Hopkins and Bill Skarsgard. There are some inconsistencies in the film though.

Facing Suicide is a PBS documentary that is close to Fringe Fiction’s heart. Fringe Fiction has dealt with suicide ideation and thoughts in the past and present. It is a difficult subject to breach, and society tends to withdraw from those affected. This PBS documentary does touch upon the topic of suicide, but it is a very methodical film.

For those contemplating suicide, Fringe Fiction recommends texting 741741 or calling or texting 988. Fringe Fiction has found that 741741 is more receptive.
