Fringe Fiction Goes to the Movies #fringefiction #frifi #lalaland #theconjuring #theconjuringlastrites #lastrites #socialmedia

On this wet Sunday in Philadelphia, Fringe Fiction did watch a couple of movies. The first being La-La Land and the second being The Conjuring: Last Rites.

La La Land is worth a watch. The main theme song is catchy indeed, but it did not take shape until about the middle of the movie. The beginning of the movie was a bit lackluster in Fringe Fiction’s opinion, but the movie picked up its pace and content toward the end. The finale was satisfying enough. As a musical overall, it is very reminiscent of the older musicals like The Strip. Oddly enough, it had the pacing of The Strip as well. Overall, in Fringe Fiction’s opinion, it’s worth a watch as both a musical and a drama.

The Conjuring: Last Rites was a solid watch, but it has a slower pacing somewhat. Fringe Fiction found it better than The Nun 2. The ending started off strong but descended into campiness. Again, this is a solid watch but not a spectacular movie.
