It was a relatively warm weekend in Philadelphia as Fringe Fiction took a bit of a sabbatical to resolve some things. We did watch a few movies however.
Until Dawn initially did have a whole lot of promise but sort of muddled in the middle and ultimately failed in the end in Fringe Fiction’s opinion. It resembled a lot of Cabin in the Woods throughout most of the movie. Where it failed particularly was the ending where it seemed rushed and campy. Neither of which was particularly appealing at that point. They could’ve done so much more. Granted, Fringe Fiction has not played Until Dawn on the Playstation 4 and Playstation 5 either. From what Fringe FIction has gathered, it is much like an interactive movie.
1 Million Followers had an interesting premise, but it’s downfall was the story in of itself. The pacing in the beginning was incredibly slow. The meat of the story didn’t catch up until more than halfway through the movie and was predictable. If you’ve seen The Beach, this movie isn’t too far behind. It just adds a social media element to the story.
