Today is indeed Labor Day. Hope everyone has been enjoying their weekend! Fringe Fiction did watch a few more movies. We watched Mickey 17, Zombiology: Enjoy Yourself Tonight and The Hunted.
Mickey 17 is a strange and somewhat methodically paced science-fiction drama. Although it attempts to discuss the issue of individualism somewhat, this movie had a strange pacing to the film. Fringe Fiction can’t quite place it exactly. The humor in of itself was also a bit off-base. In Fringe Fiction’s opinion, Mickey 17 is a bit of a niche film and worth a watch once.
Zombiology: Enjoy Yourself Tonight is perhaps another film that falls into the niche category. As a zombie film, it has inklings of The Walking Dead and Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse and with comic book dressings. It may be worth a watch if you’re a fan of action-comedy zombie movies.
The Hunted is an average film with many retreaded ideas from other films before it like The Hunt (2020). The difference between this film and the other one is that this discusses more of an international theme but still addresses the same particular issue, wealth inequality. Additionally, this includes a child in the factor as well. Overall, an average film. If you’ve seen The Hunt, this film is not too different but with a different setting and international flair.
