With this cold weekend in store in Philadelphia, Fringe Fiction watched a couple of movies today: Perfect Blue and Kill. Both are worthy of a watch and both are recommended.
Perfect Blue is about a pop star Mima who experiences a break in her mind and begins to question herself and reality. This anime movie is truly mind-bending as the ending is unexpected. This movie definitely needs a couple of views simply to capture some of the nuances in the film. Fringe Fiction highly recommends watching this movie.
In Kill, it is a Indian Hindi language action film with brutal action. Amrit and his friend Viresh are on a train to stop the engagement of his love Tulika, and when bandits appear on the train, things go from bad to worse. This movie does have some great action sequences throughout the film. There are a few issues with pacing though, in Fringe Fiction’s opinion, and some of it is due in part to the story. Overall, Fringe Fiction believes this movie is worth a watch and recommend this film.
