Batman: Fear State: Alpha 1 Comic Book Review [SPOILERS]

Plot

In Arkham Asylum, years ago, Simon Saint, a leader in robotics, is conversing with Jonathan Crane, aka Scarecrow, about his ultimate plan of a Fear State. Fear State is putting society in such a state of constant and consistent trauma that someone — in this case, Simon Saint — can manipulate Gotham City into their own image. Now, in Arkham Asylum, the Scarecrow has captured Batman. A terrorist cell calling themselves the Unsanity Collective is wreaking havoc in Gotham, and Sean Mahoney, Peacekeeper-01, has stepped in Batman’s place as a license crime-fighter. Meanwhile, things are going awry all throughout Gotham City, affecting its heroes and villains alike.

Review

Lots of plots and subplots in this one, all running simultaneously makes this comic a bit of a difficult read. The art style is uniquely realistic.
