These are Fringe Fiction’s Top 5 2025 predictions concerning the world:

1. Artificial Intelligence’s impact will be felt instead of remaining in the cloud. Consumerism of AI is a starting point. Data mining and exploitation may be a secondary issue.
2. A pandemic will make its return although it may not necessarily be COVID. It may be a dated disease like the Black Plague or something else. It will be interesting how some countries will handle this global/regional pandemic where only pockets of the countries are affected and not others. Measles has resurfaced in the United States. This may be a harbinger of things to come.
3. Environmentalism will recede a bit in 2025. Some of it is due to political and military conflict. Some of it is due to a country’s might. With quite possibly a few countries resorting to isolationism or nationalism, the environment may be the first to go.
4. Political and military conflicts may escalate. Fringe Fiction doesn’t like giving dire predictions even this one.
5. Civil unrest and riots. Even the people of various nations can only take so much. Fringe Fiction would predict that the European Union may be the first to start and then the United States. In fact, it has already started with Elon Musk and his Tesla factories and showrooms.

We are currently in a very unstable world, politically and otherwise. Inflation, tariffs and other factors may make it more unstable.
